I’m a Buffalo-bred, introverted extrovert, mindset coach. I love skiing, drinking coffee, and connecting deeply with people. I’m on a mission to let you know that you’re in the driver’s seat of your life.

Listen… we live in a busy world. I just learned that my phone can listen to me, somehow I click on my Facebook app automatically when I wake up, I’m doing my best to get my car inspected on time while learning how to make a great charcuterie board, and there are at least 20 different places that I can go to work out on a Tuesday night. And don’t even get me started on meal prep. JUST TELL ME WHAT TO EAT.

Every time I coach a group of people, here’s what comes out in our session:

  • Overwhelm
  • Stress
  • Comparison
  • Judgement
  • Shame
  • Guilt
  • Imposter Syndrome
  • Destination Happiness

Every. Single. Time.

The feeling that once you have it all figured out, THEN you’ll finally be happy. And guess what? Everyone feels the same way.

Fear has been a coping mechanism for us for a long time. But no matter how many things your brain attempts to process in one day, the solid fact remains. You are in charge of your life.

I lived a pretty anxious existence for much of my early life. That’s been a combination of genetics, childhood trauma, seeking external validation, being my own worst critic, and honestly just society in general. And about seven years ago, I went through a difficult time. I was in a terrible relationship, I was stressed out of my mind, and nothing ever felt good enough. I could have been in a room with ten friends and still feel alone.

I’ve learned a lot of things since then (see my podcast episode 1: Things I Know) but the biggest awakening of all was that I was not my thoughts. I learned that I wasn’t an anxious or depressed person, or a low-vibe person, I was a person that had anxious, depressed, and low-vibe thoughts. Once the Universe sent me “The Secret” and opened up the self-help train, I was hooked. I learned that I could accept the current moment I was in and deeply and completely love and accept myself. I learned that thoughts create my reality and that I could choose my thoughts. I learned that I wasn’t showing up fully in the world because I was so scared about what others would think.

I learned my fear stories and I chose to live despite my fear. Fear is a human tendency but we can rock our fear and move forward anyway.

The only reason you feel like you’re stuck is because you’ve forgotten your truth. Here’s your wake up call friend.

Your body is stressed because you’re in flight or fight mode. Because you’re doing your best and trying to do everything at once! (We can work on that.)

Your inner dialogue is running the show instead of YOU. Insert doubt, shame, fear, comparison, etc. So your thoughts are creating your reality and you’ve forgotten you can choose your thoughts. This bad habit can feel hard to break because our brains love to be efficient but we can re-wire the brain and create new pathways.

Anytime a low-vibe feeling creeps in you’re running away faster than Scooby and Shaggy in the chase scene with the groovy music. Remember when they caught the villain at the end and looked them in the face? It ALWAYS took the fear factor out of it.

You’ve forgotten your worth and your true, unlimited potential in this life and you’ve made it a habit to choose fear. The Universe is your biggest cheerleader but just because you can’t see it you’ve decided to turn to doubt and other protection mechanisms.

There is always a better perspective we can choose, you just have to remember your power from within. That’s where I come in. You can choose to focus on the obstacles and stay glued to the couch watching the newest Netflix show (okay wait sometimes that’s fun but not every day) OR you can take a step into the light. And I’m right here to help navigate the potholes every step of the way.
